December 1, 2016 - Almost opaque, with a slight brick around the edge. Strong black currant smell. The mouth adds vivid blackberry, brisk tannin, and bright acidity, with zero sweetness and an aged smoothness. For a California wine, unusually close to a well structured and self cleaning Old World Bordeaux, showcasing the difference a high altitude cooler climate can make.

May 23, 2008 - Retailer tasting. This was avery easy drinking Cab which was in its drinking window now. More fruity than earthy with moderate tannins. 89 points.
