November 25, 2023 - Pappas Steakhouse's sommelier selected pairing with Oysters. A trio of Madhouse, Irish Point & Moonlight Bay to start the evening. I loved all three with our first wine of the evening.

This was a nice introduction to some properly aged Bordeaux Blanc.

Next wine on deck. Eben Sadie Columella 2012.

May 13, 2023 - Top-Bordeaux 1995 (Restaurant Central Park, Voorburg): Oxidation notes slightly too prominent.

December 17, 2022 - A Holiday Evening w/Friends (Jacksonville): Hard not to appreciate white bordeaux especially because as we were discussing this evening it doesn't really get as much interest as you might expect. This was nice. Lots of acid and bright and jumping out of the glass but also a rounder mouthful and more wine to it. Reminds me of hay and fields. Maybe just a touch of honey. It's drinking well and was well paired.

September 10, 2021 - Acker's COVID-Vaccinated BYO Dinner and Auction Simulcast (Craft - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Lean, precise with a bright finish. Very easy to enjoy, but once again I find it tough to see much value in the Haut-Brion white lineup.

(Château Laville Haut-Brion Blanc) Tight, faintly lemon nose; tasty, mouthfilling, subtle lemon palate; medium-plus finish
