February 5, 2021 - Aerated/filtered and let breathe about an hour, drank over an hour, served with Delmonico steaks and mushroom risotto with some broccoli. Pleasantly surprised at how this has held up, definitely taste the maturity - subtle fruit flavors of plum, blackberry, and black currant gives way to a touch of green olive, then hint of oak, well-integrated tannins, nice acidity, medium-long finish. Excellent, always great when you can enjoy a wine with nice age, and paired really well with steak and mushroom risotto.

March 31, 2019 - Still holding up nicely. The tannis have mellowed out, hint of oak (nothing over the top), the fruit is present and integrated. Very nice, as stand alone or to accompany food. Paired with grilled steak for the evening, but should also be fine with some bread and cheese.

October 28, 2018 - Popped and poured. Drank over 2 hours. An enjoyable mature California cab. Good fruit. Tannins completely integrated. Lacks depth to be at the next level. If this bottle is representative, I would drink these up over the next couple of years.

November 23, 2017 - I wanted a cab tonight, so I checked my cellar and saw this bottle, 2004 vintage, 13 year old Napa cab??? I did not know what to expect but the previous bottle in 2014 I loved. Cork looked to be in perfect shape. Wow, this wine was very lively, terrific acidity/spice. Fruit was not big, but on second day I got plum. Smooth, balanced , excellent wine and a pleasant surprise. Reinforces the fun you get from cellaring wine.

November 2, 2017 - This in the forgotten bottles category, PnP with Valerie with some salmon and sweet potato fries...

Medium garnet/ruby color. Elegant nose of black cherry, truffle, camphor. Smooth and supple texture, palate showing dusted dark fruits, cranberry, pomegranate (?), savory, earth notes. Fined tannins, medium/light weight, medium finish.

Really nice - surprise to the upside. Fruit is nicely aged, elegant but not faded at all. Very complex and layered at this stage. Drinking beautifully right now, would have guessed lower ABV (if I didn;t know it was Napa) Really enjoyable wine...would drink over next few years
