August 30, 2017 - Drank this alongside the 2002. Very consistent with both the 2002 and the site in general. Shows generous dark fruit with red currant undertones and that classic Estournelles "rusty pipe" note which features some citrus elements on top of a brazen metalic/ ore note. This is in a good spot now, but might reward a few more years on its side for the fleshiness of the 2006 fruit to subside in the middle a bit more.
