August 18, 2023 - Decanted briefly. Great showing for this unusual vintage of Opus One. Very classic style with broad shoulders, earth, firm tannins, mature fruit. Much more of a classic Cab feel than other vintages but delicious.

July 27, 2023 - Fantastic new-worlds: This was clearly from a different era compared to the wines from the 90s. Larger-scaled with unintegrated oak, made in a plummy and more extracted style but with a bell pepper note that was still present. My first Opus so grateful to have tried this, but I suspect that this wine would appeal to others more.

July 25, 2023 - This was damn good, had a 2 hour decant. Earthy tones with blue fruits, cedar and toasted oak. This has a few years left but not going to get any better IMO. great showing

June 13, 2023 - A pleasure to return to this vintage after 6 years, however then it felt touch fresher especially aroma. Fully developed on its peak and should continue at such plateau for another 2-3 years. Made from blend of 77% CS, 12% Merlot, 5% CF, 3% PV and 3% Malbec. Aged for 17 months in new FR oak. Deep garnet, orange rim. Intense aroma of earth, cassis, prunes, dried violet and rose petals, tobacco, black chocolate. Medium+ body, concentrated and elegant, even tighter refined tannins than 2010. Deep and long flavours.
