December 24, 2023 - Classic Bordeaux nose. On the palate, dark fruit and earthy tertiary flavours. Well integrated tannins. Medium length. Drinking beautofully.

August 3, 2022 - Purchased from DC library a few years back and it’s been sitting in my cellar since. 2hr decant. Good amount of sediment. Herbivorous,Slight eucalyptus on nose. Black Cherry, cassis, leather and blackberry syrup. Showed age but also has some time to go. I’d say drink now to 5 yrs. Not super complex but well balanced. Good weight on the palate.

Such a special wine! Beautiful, pungent nose of violet, mineral, and blackberry. The fruit is still abundant, tannins still grip, and the finish is long. You know it's Diamond Mountain, and the best of the best.

    Aging 2031 at least

April 16, 2021 - Brought to Joe’s, Chicago, and had it decanted upon our arrival. Immediately poured into glasses, but not touched until we finished our bottle of SB and King Crab Leg appetizer course. We shared a perfect Porterhouse and the wine approached perfection as well. Nose was so inviting that I would have been nearly as happy to sniff as to sip. Color was dark and bright with no sign of aging. Truly elegant, full bodied, with open dark fruit, the wine maintained subtle depth and complexity usually only found in the very top Bordeaux. A great bottle!

November 28, 2019 - By far, the most bordeaux like of the great Napa Cabs. Medium purple in color. Bordeaux nose of earthy, forest floor and damp leaves. Black raspberry, sour cherry, cassis, leather and a touch of sweet oakiness on the palate. Medium tannins backbone points to lots of life left but drinking extremely well right now. A great highlight to Thanksgiving dinner.
