December 24, 2015 - The wine is clear and medium gold in colour.
The nose is clean with pronounced inaromas of citrus fruit (candied lemon), stone fruit (peach), green fruit (pear), tropical fruit (pineapple), spice (cinnamon), oak (vanilla, cloves), mlf (cream, butter), tertiary (honey, nuts), fruit development (baked apple). The wine is developing.
The palate is dry, with medium acidity, medium (+) alcohol, full body, pronounced intensity flavours of baked apple, peach, candied lemon, pineapple, almonds, vanilla, cream. The finish is long. The wine is very rich with glycerol mouth feel.
The wine is outstanding in quality. The wine is complex from primary, secondary and tertiary elements and has pronounced intensity flavours. The finish is long and the acid, fruit and oak are well balanced.
The wine should be drunk now and is not suitable for further ageing. The primary fruits are starting to fade a bit now and the wine has aged quite noticeably in the last 18 months - colour and tertiary flavours. Drink in the next 6-12 months. -

October 17, 2015 - Sherrynase, sehr nussig, milder Gaumen, trotzdem frisch und schlank. Überreif aber sehr gut.

August 1, 2014 - A very interesting chardonnay with some interesting spiciness on top of all of the regular high quality buttery notes. unlike a lot of the community i didn't find this wine over the top in oak.

April 26, 2014 - Clear, golden yellow, slightly fading to the rim. Clean nose, buttery, hazelnuts, vanilla, peaches, citrus fruits, very rich. Full palate, still nice acid backbone, long finish. Excellent. Has been a favourite wine ever since 1995 when we drank it on the evening I proposed to my wife, and this 2006 vintage doesn't disappoint. No hurry to drink.
