Community Tasting Notes 7

April 28, 2022 - Very solid wel aged red. Nice depth of flavor. And still drinking pretty wel three days later.

February 7, 2016 - Popped and poured. There most be bottle variation or storage issues, as I do not get the oaky jammy flavors of some (and I generally do not like either of those taste profiles). Instead the color is a deep medium red with some minimal bricking. There is a lovely nose of currants, hints of raspberries, leather, marzipan, and earth. A bit short on the attack, but opening up to some nice red syrupy cherries, hints of violets. 91+

May 16, 2014 - Probably over the hill. Hot year, this wine tastes moderately over-ripe and likely over-oaked, lots of baked notes.

December 29, 2012 - Decanted about 1 hour. I wanted to share this with the family, even though it was my last bottle. Lots of dark red fruit, pepper and spice. Approaching some of the really good PB Cabs.

September 1, 2012 - DEcanted about 1 hour. Pulled this based upon other notes on the site and wasn't expecting much. Was I ever surprised. Opened up nicely with hints of dark red fruit, pepper and spice. Had with a nice rib-eye and this got better, aproaching some of the really good PB Cabs. My wife and I were really impresed with this. Damn glad I have another bottle.
