January 13, 2023 - Spellbinding, in tip top condition. Classic textbook Musar, with boundless character & more time in hand. Beautifully complete. (Having drunk innumerable bottles over 35 years, it was great to sign off triumphantly). Surely the greatest vintage?

December 13, 2021 - Lazy Sunday Lunch (La Trompette): Super clean. Purple / red, no cloudiness in the glass. A hint of volatility there perhaps, but only just enough to remember that this is Musar. That magical musar core - it doesn’t come from acidity, but nor is it weighty, a special dimension of substance that is unique to the Bekaa valley perhaps…

Some discussion among the diners as to whether this or the 99 was the better wine, well, as a *wine* i can see the debate, but in the church of Musar, this is clearly a higher order of holy relic. Just shutting my eyes and recalling the smell brings a smile.

May 22, 2021 - Oh my God. This is one of the finest wines I have ever tasted. Note: I am an amateur, not an expert. Dark strawberry colour. Flavour of earth, leather, blackberry. Round, velvety finish. Lovely length. Can’t wait to drink this again!

August 11, 2019 - First time had Musar’s red, fresher than I expected on both palate and the noses on the nose, tobacco, cigar, dried dark berries, soil, and smoked herbs, on the palate, it was surprisingly fresh, tannin was gentle and smooth, texture was silky and round, fruits were still alive and vibrant. Interesting wine.
