  April 15, 2012 - Liked this a LOT, with pretty garnet-purple color and rich aromas of black fruit and Asian spice, shows up on palate in a restrained but rich medley of blackberry, white pepper, spice and smoke. Never jammy or viscous, but interesting, fruity with a long and memorable finish, all in balance and drinking perfectly right now.

  October 19, 2011 - Bold wine. We tried it with a tomato-base sauce and chicken dish and it overpowered it. Porbably need to breathe more as well. Need to re-try this with lamb or steak or maybe sausage in marinara.

  November 26, 2010 - Served at Thanksgiving dinner as well as a bottle of '06 Hartford for a comparison. Both were very good, but liked the Benessere a little more.
