  April 8, 2015 - An initial whiff of funk completely blows off to give a bright and crisp and elegant nose of red fruit and a ever so slight floral component. This smells like a Volnay wine. Sweet fruit in the mouth with tertiary notes of an older wine, yet the presence and structure of a wine younger than it's stated age. Lingering finish. This is really good, and a crowd favorite tonight.

  April 8, 2015 - spot on wine. Fresh and delightful. Quite youthful. Cork was desinigrated so I do not believe it was recently topped up. Bottle # 158 on a clean, fresh lable. Amazing. Several tasted did not believe it could be this old. Very dark for its age.

  Un nez rhodanien, réglissé, qui m'évoque de vieux CNP! Vincent et moi avons pensé qu'il contenant vraiment du grenache, comme celà ce faisait parfois à l'époque (et aujourd'hui??).
  La bouche est puissante, pleine, plus jeune que le '78. Imposant par sa présence en bouche et sa tenue, il n'a pas pour autant développé une grande complexité et me parait un peu simple. 89 pts pour tout ce qu'il représente

  May 11, 2012 - Dark red centre with 1 inch brick edge, not brilliant. Sous bois, over ripe strawberry. Flavours to cherry and oak, just enough mustiness to be interesting. Silky and muscular. A treat to be drinking @ 40+ years.
