March 23, 2008 - Wow, what an interesting wine! Drank over two nights. The nose was a hypothetical combination of sauvingnon blanc and riesling - there was a cat pee/weedy note on the nose, but also lime, honey, rosewater and cumquats. The palate didn't have the funky element, but it had a rich texture, a wonderful balance between the sweet fruit and acidity, with honey, lime, tobacco and lychee notes. Almost tastes like a blend of gewurtz and riesling on the palate. On the second day, this had lost a little acid, and tasted richer than the previous night. On both nights, really fun, unusual stuff, and a joy to try (A-). Wish I had bought more!
