November 4, 2019 - Fully mature, very ripe black cherry and berry on nose and palate with roasted meat throughout. Charming earth to start with reasonable weight, but air wasn't a friend to this wine, as the earth character got more pronounced and weight lightened up. 88 point wine to start, downhill from there.

June 17, 2017 - Friday at the LWS (Terre Rouge and others); 6/17/2017-6/19/2017 (Colonial Beverage, Chesterland Ohio): A better showing than expected for this. Still young and in need of time but drinking well. Ruby in color. The nose has cherries, slight earth, and a bit of hay. On the palate, there is a nice complexity. Slight slight tannins. Cherries, dark cherries and moist earth. Nice finish. Nice mouth feel. Its nice when Burgundy is on.

February 14, 2016 - Drank over three hours. Strange profile that had us trying to understand what, exactly, was the off-putting note. Berry sweetness on the attack which quickly yields to dusty, dry fruit, and drying woody tannin. It has the structure to support it, but comes across as much older than it is, with fading fruit (or, more accurately, fruit receding behind the oak). Meh.
