So all the more strange than the nose was surprisingly nice and fresh, and very precise. Lovely, fresh palate. So, so balanced. Gorgeous. Clean, refreshing and classy.
I think someone must have liked this, as despite it being a magnum, it was empty when it had done the rounds. -

December 24, 2004 - Very minerally light petroleum beeswax nose. Light and off-dry on the attack. Very minerally, rounded clean elegance. Crisp, mature riesling finish with wet pebbles and a hint of honey.
Declared to be one of the best wines with cheese ever.
Excellent.
