Community Tasting Notes 4

August 18, 2012 - 4 shared this bottle with cheese and crackers before dinner, and it was excellent. Very intense color on the cork and in the glass. Good fruit (raspberry to boysenberry?) and balanced tannins. A fair amount of sedimentation at the bottom. The bottle said it would go well with beef, and I wish I had another bottle to explore that pairing.

July 18, 2010 - Aging well - beginning to develop a raisin nose. Balanced - enough of everything to be interesting. So nice.

May 1, 2009 - Very dark, deep purple; maybe some hints of minty tea component on the nose, good red fruit; on the palate: Very fruity and spicy, some sour cherry good acidity, good finish, with slight tannins; definite food wine because of the acidity, goes well with my pasta + red sauce + italian sausage.

August 24, 2008 - Dark ripe plum color with full body. Dark fruit aromas and flavors with lingering spicy finish. Good wine but still a little young.
