April 6, 2022 - A dark colour, hardly any brown, starting severe with bitters in the nose and a very classic, dry CS impression. With a long aeration the wine showed more elegance, iron, leather, dark fruit, a whiff of pencil and even some sweetness, This wine showed elegance and dignity; real classic bordeaux; 89 points for its performance and 1 point for survving so well.

December 25, 2017 - excellent wine. Was a pleasure to drink and had no flawn even after 16 years in my homemade cellar. Awesome nose, needed to be open 2hr before drinking.

December 26, 2008 - The 2001 Pauillac de Latour has some of the classy cedery nose of his big brothers Les Forts and Latour. It is not a great and profound wine, but it is a very enjoyable lighter style wine from a noble family.
Just enough flesh and a slightly bitter but however nice core. Medium aftertaste, somewhat onedimensional.
From the auction at appr. € 22 it was worth the money, but don't pay very much more if you want to taste this wine.
