May 10, 2020 - 13% alcohol. Mrvdr 95%, G 5%, I believe. Heavy Bordeaux-style bottle. The exceptionally long cork is soaked through. Decanted an hour ahead. Deep colour nearly all the way to the edge of the rim.
The nose is lively with herbs and wild berries; no oak in evidence.
Similarly vivid mouth with a great lift in the finish. Plenty of grip married with some smoothness in the mid palate and an undeniably rustic element upfront.
Distinctive certainly, but is it really worth the long wait in the cellar? I think that the jury is still out on that. Nice to have for a change, and well able for sirloin roast. -

July 6, 2008 - A few years in the cellar and this has turned into a nice bottle of wine. Not very complex, but quite good and goes well with food. Bright with rich fruit and quite oaky. No notes but decent QPR.
