November 17, 2013 - The acidity here does not seem natural. Is this wine? Very odd.

March 16, 2011 - Full-bodied, quite spicy -- almost exotic -- and highly complex. Initially, it was a little rustic, has a pretty decent amount of acidity, and really cries out for hearty food. Nonetheless, after a bit of time, there is a definite polish to the wine, and it's clearly intended as a powerful, serious wine that could compete against many other bold reds from, say, Umbria or Campania. A wild wine. Unusual and highly enjoyable.
