June 27, 2016 - Disapointing wine for the price and pedigree. It lacks profoundness, precision and balance. It is not focused, has slightly oxydyzed aromas of butter, walnuts, the texture is quite rich, but the wine itself is not very complex and is quite short on the palate. Overall not a bad wine, but a major disapointment for a wine from Leroy, and for a Meursault Perrières. I would not be paying more than 20 € for this, and it is worth over 400! Ridiculous...

May 28, 2014 - Dinner at Adam’s – Leroy Perrieres and Rousseau Ruchottes (Adam's House in DC): No sign of premox, quite ripe, lemon curd, apple, honey, smoke and a hint of oyster shell that I find in nicely aged Meursault. Good concentration, fat, round and warm palate, not showing much acidity and medium finish. It improved with air. Not terribly precise and layered but still enjoyable. Ready to go and no need to wait.

May 1, 2013 - Bernard Burtschy dinner at Taberna del Alabardero (Taberna del Alabardero, Washington D.C.): Initially some thought not correct but Bernard informed us that the wine is fine. Initially honey, light caramel, apple, yellows fruits, sesame and mineral. With time the nose becomes fresher and more complex by adding a bit of white fruits and noticeable smoke. Creamy palate. Quite nice but seems slightly lacking bright acidity.

March 24, 2012 - Dinner with a few burgundies (Fook Lam Moon, Hong Kong): Surprisingly good for 2000, still an element of freshness, though it has the distinct mellowed, creamy floral character that is marks many a mature chardonnay of burgundian persuasion. I don't drink many white burgs (or whites of any sort for that matter) but this was very enjoyable. Mrs L, previously a whites-only drinker until we met, thought it was delicious

September 3, 2011 - Disappointing after the last bottle. The rich ripe butterscotch with crisp acidity is gone. Going tropical orange, mango, pineapple, ripeness. No pre mox, but a touch of funk. :-(
