Community Tasting Notes 2

    December 24, 2004 - 14% abv
Mid-, rather yellow gold. Honeyed, light citric marmalade nose. Just off-sweet on the palate. Quite elegant. Not the best bottle of the few of this that I got at auction a couple of years ago.
Served with goose and turkey livers, with foie gras d'oie and de canard, on toasted homemade brioche, as a little light snack at lunchtime. (Yes, that is a definition of over-egging ...)

August 12, 2003 - Liverpool Offline (Everyman Theatre, Liverpool): 14% abv. Very closed on the nose: reticent, with a minor touch of honey. Light fresh attack with nice honeyedness. Citrussy orange peel on palate. Actually really rather nice. Very fresh, clean and neat. Elegant and light footed on the tongue. Excellent length. Very good indeed.
