January 20, 2024 - Definitely showing ripeness and heat typical of 2003 yet retaining pretty good fruit concentration and freshness. Vosne spice, dark berries and earth dominates the bouquet, with ensuring fruit persistence on the palate coupled with power and muscle encased in a silky mouthfeel. Velvety tannins today with good acidity and structure

January 20, 2024 - Pearl of Burgundy gala dinner: Large frame but seemed bereft of stuffing and acidity, possibly as a result of the vintage. Pleasurable but slightly plummy, I don’t think this will be the longest-lived Cathiard Malconsorts.

August 6, 2022 - 1st of 12, opened an hour then decanted 30 minutes, perfect cork and level - dark, quite dense, ruby, little rim development; complex, attractive bouquet, meaty for Vosne, black fruit, some balsamic, nicely spiced gaining layering as evening progressed; fullish, long, persistent, concentrated, round but well balanced, last glass most interesting, quite primary, no trace of heat, early maturity with upside, 15+ years. VF (18.5).

July 14, 2021 - This bottle really showed out in a very strong wine lineup. The nose was amazing immediately and got better as the wine decanted over a couple of hours. Great mix of deep and bright fruit, bit of spice and great balance. Nice long finish. I really enjoyed this bottle.
