  Subtle wine in fruit and alcohol [well integrated alcohol]. Very firm tannin structure for a 14 year old wine. Let’s see how it goes across the evening and later nights (with fridge storage).
  
  Day 2 - still a subtle wine.
  
  Day 4 - wow! So lovely! Full of interesting flavour layers. On the basis of improving over four days stored in an ordinary fridge, I'd say this wine has many years left stored under reasonable conditions. And further it will go from a very good wine at 14 years to a sublime wine at 20 years. I'd also suggest that for the next 2+ years decanting for AT LEAST an hour if the wine is to be consumed at one sitting.

  May 27, 2012 - Dark fruit, tight until it had an hour to breath after opening. Blackberry, not sweet, currants.

  August 26, 2011 - Red colour with slight ruby. Cassis, black fruit, white pepper on nose. Similar palette although a bit thin. Dusty tannins. Savoury with good acid and length. Nice but needed to breathe for a couple of hours to open up.
