October 15, 2015 - A great bottle of Burgundy. Not much of this in the US. I felt it had the real essence of Burgundy in that it was VERY light in color, gamey with notes of red fruits and roses. Would love to have more of these.

January 13, 2014 - Needed about 3 hours of double decanting. Tonight this is a dark, brooding bottle of wine, in a firm masculine style, with earth, sous bois, some acidity at its core and firm chalky tannins on the finish. There's some bricking going on here and it's picked up some subtle depth. All in all, quite nice, especially for the vintage.

July 15, 2013 - This is drinking very well today, with brooding dark fruit, some sour cherry, earth, green, brambly underbrush and spice. There's still some fairly firm tannins on the med length finish. All in all, quite nice. The first glass was poured through a Vinturi immediately after double decanting.

May 17, 2013 - An expressive nose of mostly dark fruit and loamy earth leads into a palate that displays flavors of dark fruit, earth and sous bois framed with subtle oak in a quite masculine format. The tannins on the finish are chalky and fairly aggressive. This needed 2 or 3 hours in the decanter to open.

August 3, 2012 - Impressive for a 2004, this displayed a nice dark ruby color, only slightly pale at the rim. Fragrant with red fruit, faded flowers and undergrowth notes which opened up more with time. Only a hint of green on the palate, which had plenty of fruit and spice with nice length, with a cleansing edge on the finish. This was exceeded expectations for the vintage, and I'm glad I chose to enjoy this on my birthday. Unfortunately, this was my only bottle - I would love to try this again in a couple of years.
