  October 15, 2011 - Very fruit forward with loads on boysenberry and blackberry tempered with some licorice and other herb and spice like smells and tastes. The subtle complexity makes this fun to drink.

  June 11, 2011 - Ripe wild berry fruit, subtle licorice, and light tannins make this an approachable, well-balanced, and easily quaff-able wine. Not hot or sweet like many Zins, this one has a slightly wild character that reminds me of the hillside terraces where it is grown.

  April 17, 2010 - Decanted with QD. Drank while cooking and with puttanesca. Easy drinking compared to other Zina recently

  April 2, 2010 - Another great wine, similar to the 2005 and 2007 we tasted that night. Compared to the 2005, the 2006 was slightly more fruit forward and a little bit less complex. We still tasted the chalk and soil, but the fruit appeared much earlier and dominated the proceedings. Awesome wine - it would be interesting to see if it becomes more like the 2005 with some more time in the bottle.
