Community Tasting Notes 5

December 5, 2019 - Ruby red. Some funky reduction on the nose. Ripe well balanced palate, still with good acidity and a lithe young and silky texture. Cranberry and strawberry flavor profile.

January 23, 2016 - Pop and pour. Some bottle funk and rustic, iron infused dried red fruit on the nose. Lithe palate with a good dose of acidity very good flavor intensity and smooth satiny tannins. Very good but not great.

December 2, 2013 - This is mightily impressive and even better than when I had it earlier this year. Decanted and poured straightaway. Deep colour. Extravagant, beautiful, intense spicy aromas of earth, game and black fruit. On the palate it's powerful and 'full on' without being clumsy and it retains a detailed, elegant complexity that Corton often doesn't exhibit. It's powerful without being robust. It's drinking well now, but has a very long life ahead of it. Wonderful wine. Estimated maturity: 2012-2020+
