December 3, 2020 - Just exceptional, mature, grand cru Burgundy - color starting to show signs of age but not a hint of oxidation or decline and this will be at peak for quite some time given the freshness, acidity and remaining tannin. Leather, some meatiness, dark cherries, some blood orange/orange peel, spices, almost a nuttiness and really complex. Terrific balance, mouthfeel and reinforces my faith in this producer to deliver elegant, yet powerful wines from top sites.

March 29, 2011 - Morey Saint Denis with James Handford MW (Handford Wines, London): WOTN. Dense and proper. Felt almost an outsider to the light Morey Saint Denis wines. Deep, rich, silky and very very good

November 11, 2009 - Confrerie Burgundy Trip – Day 2 (Gevrey-Chambertin/Morey-Saint-Denis): Very aromatic nose of first flower, then roast and cherries. Elegant palate of cherries and blackcurrants with medium acidity and sandy tannins. Gentle finish with medium to long persistence.
