Community Tasting Notes 1

April 29, 2008 - Just to get the annual debate on ageing rose started, I opened this bottle I found in the cellar. AN 8 YEAR OLD ROSE. No longer tastes like a rose. Nose of grapefruit and a hint of pear. Palate of grapefruit, pear and watermelon. This is no longer a rose that exhibits the fresh strawberry-like profile. It is more like a sherry but would go well with shellfish and pasta.
