Community Tasting Notes 1

September 19, 2004 - Dinner at home of grilled filet mignon. Medium ruby color, to orange/pink at rim. Tobacco, charcol, dark chocolate and orange peel (?) on the nose. Chocolate, cassis and strong toasted oak flavors on the palate -- still some healthy tannins and lively acidity keeps things focused. Finish is moderate, and turns a bit drying.
