August 11, 2015 - Fat, perfumed nose of blackberry, plum, violet, pepper, and tomato leaf. Palate is light-to-medium-bodied, with smooth, grainy tannin and bright, sharp acidity.

March 22, 2014 - This 7 year old garnet hued Margaret River Cab Merlot is nicely integrated. Unlike the Bordeaux style Margaret of the same year this style is new world. The wine opens over one hour in the decanter. Initially it is earthy which I associate with the region but then the ripe blackcurrant characters emerge draped with scents of cigar box. Swirling nearby are tomato vine and olives. There are moments of stewed plum that come and go. The wine is medium to full bodied.Drunk from bordeaux glasses at 16 degrees C. This wine pleasantly surprised me.

    April 9, 2012 - Not bad. A little green.

October 7, 2011 - Great nose. Strong black cherry fruit with some pencil lead and mineral. At first was enjoying this then the acidity and lack of balance spoilt the illusion. Interesting to see similar comment below. Could have been really good but isn't - if that's not a strange thing to say...

December 17, 2008 - Beautiful smell, strong cabernet poking out, pencil lead, very well intergrated oak on the nose. Ruby with purple rim, on the palate Medium bodied, with supple blackfruit and sweet cherry. Already smooth tannins and fruits are quite lovely, but I would recommend short term cellaring. Abit simple for higher score. Best drunk in 2 to 3years.
