November 18, 2019 - Opened this for Friendsgiving this past weekend and oh baby was this drinking spectacularly! Inky purple in color and opaque in the glass; Aromas of blackberry jam, plum, and herbs on the nose; tastes of blackberry bramble, herbs, and pepper on the palate lingered into the long and smooth finish. Full bodied, polished tannins, and great structure.

September 11, 2016 - As you might suspect of a good 2005 Petite Sirah... 11 years was not long enough to wait. This wine is yet quite primary, and just beginning to evolve. It has stunning density with a black purple core and very slight purple brick rim. Aromas of Eucalyptus, ripe choke cherry, baking spice, plum, blackberry, thyme, charcoal, and maybe espresso. Massive blue & black berry fruit concentration. Subtle, but powerful, acid. Firm tannic backbone. The balance here is exceptional. It's absolute density of aroma & flavor take much time to parse. You could eat food with it... but that would be distracting....
This wine is an incredible value... I'd buy any & all of the 2005 I could find.

September 17, 2011 - Nice nose, deep dark color, smooth tannins and well balanced, with a hint of blueberry. Enjoyable and good value for the price, but a little bit short on the finish and lacked complexity.
