March 15, 2017 - Good mature Chianti from a great vintage and still in good shape. The wine is full and with more spices and complexity than fruit. Very pleasure given for an Italian cheese course.

May 3, 2016 - Still quite full bodied. This wine is mature at age 19. It has a little fruit but it does have plenty of mature complexity of smoke and spices. The body of the wine is still quite large. Many of my guests liked it. I wasn't as keen due to the receded fruit and mostly smoke and earth left. It is still plenty pleasure giving.

June 18, 2015 - It's fine! Nicely held together. Subtle bouquet and soft, mature fruit. Good balance and an easy finish!

August 9, 2010 - Vibrant color; in line with expectations for a Riserva of this age. Muted nose but pleasant. Fruit is cloaked by significant but manageable tannin. Acid is balanced. Short finish.
