July 4, 2010 - Floral and minerality on the nose. Crisp and citrusy on the palate with quite a bit of acidity. Not enough other components to totally balance the acidity for me, but a good wine nonetheless.

February 27, 2010 - Bought this bottle at the Willamette Valley winery's tasting room for $24 and drank with Mario Bitali's Devil's Chicken (a spicy chicken dish with lots of paprika and jalapenos). This is by FAR the best Pinot Gris/Grigio we've ever had (well, to be honest, we've only had two or three other bland, flavorless Pinot Gris/Grigios). There isn't much of a nose to the wine (that may be because the spicy chicken "perfume" permeated the entire house and we couldn't smell much of anything besides the spicy chicken) but there is a hint of stone and a suggestion of a floral bouquet. The flavor profile is fantastic; this wine is minerally, stony, and has gorgeous floral notes (the nose may have a beautiful floral bouquet as well, but the scent(s) was covered by the spiciness of the chicken dominating the air around the house). This wine has a wondefully smooth and silky finish. Again, we're no Pinot Gris/Grigio experts, but this is a fantastic "Italian" white that went perfectly with Mario's spicy chicken dish. This delicate, graceful, gorgeous white would also pair well with certain sashimis, most salads, and most seafoods as well. We would definitely buy this again.

September 26, 2009 - Exceptionally good with bruschetta and with crab balls and lemon caper sauce. Just a little bit of vanilla with good acidity balancing it. Overall, a wonderful wine with hors d'oeuvres.

June 20, 2009 - This is my favorite Oregon Gris. Nice light oak. Lovely and floral. Great old gris vines, I guess.
