February 5, 2015 - Nice mature wine with a redder, more restrained style - perhaps reflective of the vintage. Improved with decanting and in the glass. Dark red fruited with blood orange and plum notes. Silky wine with nice structure, some subtle milk chocolate (towards the end of the night) and pretty long finish. Acidity kept it fresh and lively. Not sure it will ever get real complex. Give it a long decant and get rewarded.

January 2, 2015 - Drinking well but has lost some of its life. Unsure if it will make the transition but it does not seem to be falling apart.

December 26, 2011 - I'm not loving this bottle. Disjointed with no real character. Slow ox'ed for an hour. Disappointed as the 04 was so delicious.

October 27, 2011 - Delicious blackberry and currant aromas and flavors with chocolate, oak, and spice notes. Long finish with soft tannins.

December 5, 2010 - nose: a bit disjointed and slightly overblown nose of black fruits, blue fruits, vanilla, road tar tones, and black cherry liqueur

taste: full bodied with hard tannins along with ripe tones of oak, black fruits, vanilla, dark spices and some black cherry liqueur tones. There is some heat on the back end as well that is distracting

overall: this wasn't close to as good as the last bottle I had. This just seemed a bit overblown and uninteresting
