June 22, 2019 - Richter Raritäten Vol.VII (Magnums only) (Farnsburg): What a surprise for such a challenging vintage. Tar, fruit-in-rum, raisins, birnel, caramel. In the palate the lighter year shines through. But it is still a great pleasure to drink.

June 4, 2015 - Old Bordeaux Dinner (Hong Kong Country Club, Shouson Hill, Hong Kong): Mid shoulder fill. Still a rich opaque crimson colour but discernable signs of separation. Nose is attractive briar fruit and blackberry jam. Unfortunately the palate is dead on arrival, very tannic and like eating a cigar the day after it had been stubbed out.
