  April 24, 2011 - Tasty Zin here...and great price for what you get. Let this sit in glass for a bit - nose was initially totally strawberry/cherry cheesecake! Smells great. Fades a little to just bright fruit. Palate is high on the acid and seems hot @14.5% ETOH. Nice juicy fruit/cherry notes that are not overly sweet for sure. Balanced! The overall experience is detracted by lots of acid and that heat - doesn't seem to settle. Perhaps a solid hour or 2 decanting will help this further, and of course a pairing with food.

  January 10, 2011 - This wine has probably reached it's peak drinking time. Light ruby in the glass with hints of brown edges. At first the wine was not very forthcoming. After about an hour an consuming with food, it relaxed and showed nice character. Fragrant wood dominating, maybe sandalwood. Raisins and strawberries also on the nose. Very smooth mouth feel with a decent finish and a nice sweet finish. Tannins silky but present to keep the fruit in check.

  September 27, 2009 - Rich purple in colour, this wine shows intense dark berry fruit, mocha and a hint of white pepper on the nose. The palate is medium bodied and shows spicy raspberry and well integrated oak.
