September 18, 2021 - Madness and mayhem in Spöland (Spöland, North Sweden): Will never die.
    Beautiful amber.
Rich Sauternes aromas with lussebulledeg (saffron dough), caramelized sugar, honey suckle, peach, grass, hay, summer days, small rancio… etc.
In the mouth: started out a little hollow, but with some air grew beautifully. Acidity is perfect, sweetness fading and the feeling of this wine is simply phenomenal.

June 21, 2021 - Monthly Boys' Wine Night - Champagne & Old Bordeaux (Island Room, Hong Kong Country Club, Shouson Hill, Hong Kong): Deep copper coloured. Nose of surprisingly fresh mandarin orange peel with its oil from the skin, kumkwat, toffee. Treacle/molasses. Palate is surprisingly fresh and alive acidity followed by burnt caramel and sour mandarin orange that has almost been fermented. Heady. Good with a late night post-dinner cigar.

December 19, 2015 - Tipping to the point of oxidation I tend to like a bit less, as it's thoroughly nutty with nice viscosity, but the fruit notes are vanishing or very faint at best. Still had some semblance of acid present. All in all, what it should be at 45 years old.

July 4, 2013 - Nice Sauternes, white peach, dried apricot, honeysuckle and petrol on the nose and palate. I was interested by the fact that despite the age this bottle tasted similar to many much young Sauternes that I've had recently. Would absolutely not guess this was 43 years old. Maybe 10.

July 13, 2012 - Honeyed fruits, herbal, tea, oxidative notes. This improved with a couple days in the fridge but was clearly better a decade ago (and I like necro-wines).
