December 6, 2014 - Needed a decant. Much better after 2 hours in decanter. Strong, tart red fruit nose with some spice, dirt, cedar, and gamey notes. medium bodied with strong tannins, black/red fruit, plush minerality, dirt, game, oak, and some green jalapeno notes. Long slightly bitter black fruit finish. Drink now or over the next 5 years.

January 12, 2013 - Tasted blind. Ruby in color, showing deep dark color. Notes of cranberries and dried strawberries on the nose. A hint of oak and a bit of thyme. Medium bodied, showed very well.

February 11, 2011 - Beef Bourgignon & Burgundies at Dan's (Chez Dan, Palo Alto, California): Slightly bricking medium dark cherry red color with pale meniscus; brett, tart cherry, tart red fruit, muscular, mineral palate; medium-plus finish

October 28, 2006 - A light ruby color to this Pinot. A fairly delicate nose with black cherry, spice, and earth notes. Light to medium in body, this is definitely an old world Pinot. Bright, racy cherry flavors last on the finish.
