December 13, 2019 - Jólavínsmakk Eðalklúbbsins 2019 (Marbakkabraut 12): Vínklúbburinn ákvað í vor að leggja í púkk og fjárfesta í einni l'Ermita flösku. Nú var svo komið að því að smakka á henni. Loftað í karöflu í líklega sex klukkutíma. Smá brúnka farin að koma í jaðra. En annars ferskur litur. í nefi sveskjur, lím í byrjun. Síðan birtust mjög dökkir ávextir. Einnig lanólín. Svo eftir þyrlun mátti finna blóm, kaffi og súkkulaði. Þegar bragðað var á víninu þá var talað um dökka ávexti , karamellu, kaffi, súkkulaði. Einnig jólatré eða harpix. Vínið er með mjög flotta sýru og góð tannín. Vínið er gríðarlega ferskt og silkimjúkt. Menn voru mjög ánægðir með vínið held ég bara allir. Smakkarar voru líka á því að þótt vínið væri frábært þá væri það engan veginn að standa undir verðmiðanum (u.þ.b. 450€). En gaman að hafa smakkað svona risa.

December 15, 2016 - Beat your 2016 WOTY Dinner: Raspberry, redcurrant, graphite, roses and strawberry aromas - very red tinged and beautifully pure on the nose. The palate is in a similar vein, with a delicacy and finesse that shines through, even with the tannin structure also asserting some control. Fantastic length and vibrancy, this was a really pleasant encounter and one that I hope to try again sometime in the future.

March 29, 2015 - Wow - really good. Very smooth, well made wine. Nuanced yet balanced and in harmony. Was pleasantly surprised at this boldness of this old world wine. I am used to drinking California versions of Grenache and this was very big yet incredibly refined. Very well done.

April 7, 2011 - The Wines of Alvaro Palacios, with Alvaro Palacios (The Sampler, London): Too young too strong. Grenache powerhouse with lots of sweet tones and red fruit. Wine needs lots of patience in the cellar and we found it difficult to rate now.
