May 15, 2023 - Superb white Burgundies: Another Ramonet white that didn’t live up to expectations, in line with my experience that the reds are more consistent than the whites. Rather strict and muted at first, wouldn’t have guessed this to be the same vintage as the PYCM. Agreed that there was a distracting almond note on the nose, palate had some greenness with a not-too-pleasant acid streak. Got better with air but closed back up again.

September 28, 2012 - This was my first Ramonet. And a very good place to start. It was quite xotic in the nose with almonds, white cake and hints of pineapple. In the mouth it was dense and strong but it lacked some acidity and ended somewhat short compared to the wonderful nose. Still I really enjoyed this wine and will continue to seeek them out :-)

April 19, 2010 - Excellent chardonnay. Very mineral with gorgeous apple kicking on the back end. Complex and long. As the night went on, the oak became more prominent, so I think this needs 2-3 years to come together.

February 15, 2010 - Quite young but pure and crisp with a nice, finely concentrated finish. Good power and minerality with fresh flavors of pear and limestone. This is balanced and should blossom with a little more bottle age. 91+

February 28, 2009 - Domaine Ramonet 06 Pair-off (Grand Park Hotel): Lively fresh minerality. Grapefruit flavoured bubble gums.Quite refined and lady-like. Has that zingyness like from a bottle of mineral water that had been placed in a car under hot sun.
