December 29, 2018 - Home at Twixmas with some fun wines: (Tasted Blind): Light to medium yellow colour. An intense and striking bouquet, bursting with freshness and ripe stone fruit with wet chalk, adding a mineral touch. Inviting palate with incisive acidity, giving freshness, feeling more alert than the Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne, offering breadth and an almost austere, metallic texture. There is peach golden apple, crushed rocks and spice with tertiary mushroom and nut notes starting to come through; it has depth and complexity, with a persistent finish. Lovely vitality, this is a clean, direct CC that manages to weave elegance through its more upright structure.

December 2, 2015 - After the 02 this was just stunning, had all the verve and aroma you could hope for. Never too heavy, great balance.

May 19, 2010 - This tastes like the big brother to the Pucelles, with a similar balance but a step up in the quality of fruit, etc. Those who like the rich style might want to opt for the Batard, but to me, this strikes just the right balance - a little less richness but still has golden fruit, complex minerality, and zippy, juicy acid as its foundation. 94-95

(Joseph Drouhin Corton-Charlemagne) A nose of dried flowers, lemon, and green apple precedes rich, ripe yellow apple and pear on the palate. The wine has considerable weight and power. Appellation: Corton
