November 17, 2013 - Pretty oaky but still delicious with good fruit. Do not keep it any longer though.

October 4, 2013 - shared with pat at selkirk manor to celebrate the end of the work week. paired with roast pork from la bella. this is the first experience i can recall of keeping a bottle with a screw cap enclosure on its side for 4 years. no harmful effects noted. this wine is pretty straight forward. have to say it is a bit overpriced for what it has to offer. a powerful punch but one dimensional. maybe i have just moved on from australia. only 70% shiraz but it steals the show.

December 26, 2012 - Meh. Pretty one dimensional. Big alcohol coming thru... Great wine if you are looking to get hammered. Not usually what we are after though...

December 18, 2011 - Pam liked. Rob no. Not a good value.

September 23, 2011 - This wine apparently needs quite a long decanter time. Had it open up for 3 hours, and it was quite Shiraz-heavy, with the Cab and Merlot only smoothing it a little. Worked well with a quality steak, for which I would have chosen a "Shiraz-only" only wine. But definitely a wine to enjoy together with food, since the strong alcohol comes through when drinking "as is". But we enjoyed it.
