October 6, 2021 - Decanted one hour, served slightly cool

    Beautiful pairing with mushroom risotto.

Light sediment, mature tertiary notes over underlying spice. Beautiful

  • jmcmchi Likes this wine:

May 25, 2021 - Showing distinct brown tinge

Decanted one hour. Muted spice on nose

On palate, soft tannins with sweet spice on top. Camembert rather than hard cheese as a pairing

  • jmcmchi Likes this wine:

October 26, 2020 - More brown tints than last bottle, very little sediment

Ripe red spice, soft tannins, pairing remarkably well with Brie. Not a huge amount of potential left, finish within two or three years

June 29, 2020 - In glass, barely a hint of brown, still primarily purple/crimson, maybe a little darker than classical grenache

Moderate spice, medium-firm tannins, overlay of sweet red berries.

August 26, 2017 - Last bottle. Drinking aged in a good way. Medium (+) garnet with bricking edges to 1/4+. Aromas of blueberry pie a la mode, potpourri, cedar, dark fruits, anise, dried spices, earth, and tar. Medium body, medium (+) acid, long finish, integrated tannins, and flavors more to the red/dark red side of the fruit spectrum, along with orange peel, black tea, flowers, and maple syrup. There's a real delicious factor here. I'm really enjoying the Aussie grenache with some age on it.
