Community Tasting Notes 9

April 8, 2024 - Remarkably fresh. A nose of green melon, white peach, walnut and spearmint. Rich, intense, layered and long. Brilliant!

September 29, 2022 - Rich and powerful orchard fruit, not quite as bright or vibrant as my previous bottle from last year.

September 17, 2021 - Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Tasting #2 (The Tasty Center) (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Very good density, ripe fruit is still nicely fresh enough, but the structural elegance, brightness and energy are the star here. At its peak now.

September 17, 2021 - Chassagne - Center (Chicago, IL): Forward, rich, sweet and mineral-laden fruit. Nicely fresh and bright. In a peak spot right now.

February 29, 2020 - Dinner at JB Ah Meng (JB Ah Meng, Geylang, Singapore): A little on the fat side for a 2007 - surprising for a Dancer wine - but otherwise pretty good. The nose had a touch of new world Chardonnay to it, with ripe yellow fruit with an edge of tropical sweetness to it, and plenty of creamy, buttery accents, and then just a hit of spice and new oak running behind. The buttery, oily-textures palate had the same ripe, sunny tone to it, with stone fruit at the fore, and more or those tropical notes running into a nicely long and mineral finish. Not the most complex, but nicely delicious, and thankfully pulled back with a decent bit of 2007 freshness and tension which gave it some definition. Overall, not bad and drinking pretty nicely, but not in a style I would associate with a Dancer in 2007 of all vintages.
