November 19, 2012 - This was better than we remembered when we bought 2.5 years ago. It's drinking real nice with easy tanins. Now wishing I had more. I agree with characteristics of earlier reviews.

September 17, 2010 - Light, very drinkable, plum, a little bacon, a little citrusy, savory and smooth.

May 14, 2010 - Made with a blend of 32% Grenache, 32% Mourvedre, 32% Cinsault and 4% Syrah from the Alexander Valley AVA this wine is aged in old French oak 16 months. I found summer pudding, vanilla and white pepper aromas on the nose. The palate is very savoury - earth, spice and a good acidic streak on the finish.

October 8, 2008 - Ripe nose of plum, dried cherries, and spice. A taste of the wine adds more flavors of earth, with some mineral and mushroom. Well-balanced, full-bodied. Drinks like a Hermitage. Excellent.
