  February 22, 2013 - A sweeter, riper fruit profile than the Breton but still showing plenty of that Cab Franc green herbal/forestal character. Not quite as complex as the Bourgueil, but it's lovely to drink with a textural polish and good length.

Round, silky palate, medium to full bodied, plenty of tannin. Quite fruit forward, but with characteristic greenness. Why did Ridge stop making this? It is still developing, but the fruit is likely fading, so time to drink depends on how you like your Cab Franc.

  January 9, 2011 - OMFG! Incredibly nuanced, balanced, and fresh. Beautiful nose of wood and cassis. In the mouth, nuaced, supple, delicate, with a laser beam of ripe cherry and cassis. Drank with grilled grass-fed steak 2-ways (filet with a demi glace, and ribeye with a tomatillo sauce). ALthough i am sure this would have been super 10 years ago, this is stilll the case now. Lovely lovely and impressive juice. This is the classic stuff!
