March 6, 2021 - 47 year old Penfolds.......
Bottle looked in good condition with a 30min decant.
Surprisingly still some good fruit starting to emerge through the dominant secondary characters.
Soft plum with Grandpa's tobacco, old leather and a touch of dark chocolate. Palate is soft and mellow and a pleasure to drink.
So happy this wine is alive.
