September 30, 2018 - Dark ruby with garnet edges. Dark nose with plums, mulberries, a bit stewed and some dark spices. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium plus bodied. Dark mulberries on the attack with some dark spices, cinnamon, dustiness and some cherries. Acidity is a bit high but overall doing well for a 13 year old bottle. Drink till 2020.

November 11, 2017 - This wine was well past its "best before" date. Quite brown in the glass, it had a port-like nose and an oxidized, rusty flavour. The cork was fine and there were no signs of leakage. Very disappointing as it was just purchased a year ago from a good local wine shop and had been properly cellared since purchase. Either it was poorly stored before I purchased it or it's not very suitable for aging.

September 26, 2015 - Possibly better than a few years ago and still no sign of having reached its peak. Lovely mature gamey with a corr of datk red fruit. Long, smooth and spicy finish.

July 17, 2011 - Dense plum red with a thin brick red rim. Nose is full of plum, cherries, bell peppers, and a touch of licorice. Silky smooth and full mouthfeel with a strong backbone of peppery dark red fruit with hints of oak. Sweet tannins at the very long finish.

March 17, 2011 - Tight, closed, young. Good structure but way too hot and unbalanced.
