Community Tasting Notes 3

August 16, 2012 - Baked apples, jammy blueberries, candied lemon zests, and dried jackfruit (think savory oatmeal barely sweetened with brown sugar). There is a hint of pine sap throughout all of this, which is why I scored it above a 90.

I can't even imagine how perfect this would be ten years from now if it were under a screw top.

February 26, 2010 - Clear and nice light gold color.
Medium-intensity nose with great complexity. Both earthiness and a wide variety of fruit - citrus, pear.
Perhaps a bit too sweet / not quite balanced with acidity, but does have some acidic backbone.
Medium finish, and very drinkable through the whole glass.
Paired with a triple-cream blue cheese - yum!

12 years old and by no means over the hill! Probably at its peak now.

August 21, 2009 - Beautiful golden color, medium sweet older Auslese. Melon, lime, stone fruit. Mellow, fairly long finish.
