Community Tasting Notes 1

July 11, 2005 - I purchased this wine for $13 a few months ago to drink this Summer. My wife and I opened it Saturday evening at an outdoor consert at the Morton Arboretum. Marcia Ball was in town from Louisiana (I would describe her as a female version of Dr. John). Very nice setting and entertainment; however, the wine left me disappointed. Pale yellow color. Sharp acidity (almost too sharp) with burdesome sour flavors. I have had this wine from 2 prior vintages and liked them much better. This bottle lacked depth and presented little more than some tangy grassy notes. 79-81 points.
