March 19, 2010 - Lanya enjoyed at the tasting room and then enjoyed last night, as did Loni. I wasnt too fond of it. Maybe it was the goat cheese but I felt it had the tell-tale characteristics that tend to trip up wines made with Sonoma Valley Cab grapes. Something of a one-dimensional taste with no finish to speak of. Still a big Eric Ross fan though. Sticking with the other wines

December 4, 2009 - My white wine only drinker expressed it was one of the smoothest reds she has had and could see this wine being one she would enjoy on a daily basis. Although it is 100% Cab it’s more on the lighter side of Cab’s with excellent structure and complex flavorful layers. One got a tad of pepper of spice, one could taste a bit of dark chocolate, I could really relate to the deep rich dark fruit and French Oak undertones and got a little smoke on the nose which I love. The front and middle palate was very fruit forward and the finish lingered just enough to enjoy, quite sexy actually. All-in-all this wine I have to overall describe the same way I did his 2006 Catie’s Corner Syrah….smooth, elegant, refined.
